In the wake of Sunday’s fall finale of The Walking Dead, the Nielsens delivered to the AMC drama news that was as almost bad as that which Carl shared with Rick, Michonne and viewers in the episode’s last seconds: According to our sister site Variety, “How It’s Gotta Be” was the series’ lowest-rated midseason finale since Season 2 back in 2011.

The plus-sized installment — in which Negan and the Saviors struck back against the AHK (Alexandria/Hilltop/Kingdom) uprising — averaged a 3.4 rating in adults 18-49 and 7.9 million viewers.

Ratings: ‘Better Late Than Never’ Premiere Wins at 10pm
Last night, NBC’s “Better Late Than Never” and ABC’s “Great Christmas Light Fight” duked it out in different time slots for the (very unofficial) title of top Monday premiere. A “Bachelor” special leading up to the dating competition’s new season didn’t quite stake much of a claim in the mini-battle. Thanks mostly to “The Voice,” NBC won primetime outright. ABC finished runner-up in the key 18-49 demographic, though CBS was No. 2 among total viewers. NBC was first in ratings with a 1.6 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 8.8 million,

Someone dig the flower-bedecked hat out of the closet, because a reboot of the ’90s sitcom “Blossom” could be happening. At least, that’s the word from Joey Lawrence, who played slow-witted but well-coiffed Joey Russo on the series.

Speaking to Steve Harvey on Harvey’s talk show for an episode that aired Monday, Lawrence said that the notion of a “Blossom” reboot has been the subject of “serious talk” lately, and that he and his former costar Mayim Bialik are on board if it approaches the realm of reality.

‘The Detour’ Season 3 Trailer: Jason Jones Goes Off-Road Boating, Sinks, Remains the World’s Best Dad — Watch
The Detour” began as two parents recounting a disastrous road trip, but what happens when the road runs out? That’s what Season 3 of the hilarious TBS comedy is all about, as the Parker family finally stops running and settles down.

In the first trailer for Season 3, Nate (Jones), Robin (Natalie Zea), and their two kids (played by Ashley Gerasimovich and Liam Carroll) try to make a home for themselves in small-town Alaska. Spurred on by a mishap involving a snowmobile and a lake — more of a “final straw” kind of deal — the Parkers still can’t slow down while trying to settle down, and the 10 new episodes look just as wild as the first 20.
